Procuro ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Shopify application that helps merchants manage purchase orders, track product costs, and monitor inventory value. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide our services:
- Shop Information: Your Shopify store domain, access tokens for API authentication, and store settings required for app functionality.
- Product Data: Product names, SKUs, barcodes, variants, and pricing information synced from your Shopify store to enable product matching and cost tracking.
- Inventory Data: Inventory levels and location information to update stock quantities when purchase orders are accepted.
- Purchase Order Data: Supplier information, order line items, quantities, costs, and acceptance history that you create within the app.
- Cost History: Historical cost data for products to enable cost tracking and analytics features.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide and improve our services:
- Processing and managing purchase orders
- Matching invoice line items to your Shopify products
- Updating inventory levels in your Shopify store
- Calculating and applying cost adjustments to products
- Generating cost tracking reports and inventory value analytics
- Managing your subscription and billing through Shopify
4. Data Retention
We do not store your data longer than necessary. Specifically:
- Active Use: Data is retained only while you have an active subscription and the app is installed on your store.
- Uninstallation: When you uninstall the app, all your shop-specific data (purchase orders, cost history, cached products, supplier mappings, and inventory snapshots) is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- No Indefinite Storage: We do not retain your business data indefinitely. Data is purged when no longer needed for service delivery.
- Backup Data: Temporary backups may exist for disaster recovery purposes but are rotated and deleted within 90 days.
5. Third-Party Services
We integrate with the following third-party services:
- Shopify: We access your store data through Shopify's official APIs to sync products, update inventory, and manage subscriptions. Shopify's privacy policy applies to data stored on their platform.
- OpenAI: If you use AI-powered invoice parsing features, invoice text may be processed by OpenAI's API to extract structured data. No personally identifiable information is intentionally sent, and OpenAI does not use this data for training.
- Hosting Provider: Our application is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmission is encrypted using TLS/SSL
- Database encryption at rest
- Shopify session token authentication for all API requests
- Shop-scoped data isolation (your data is never accessible to other merchants)
- Regular security updates and vulnerability monitoring
- Access tokens are securely stored and never exposed to the client
7. Your Rights
As a merchant using our app, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we store about your shop.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion: Request immediate deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or uninstalling the app.
- Export: Request an export of your purchase order history and cost tracking data.
- Withdraw Consent: Uninstall the app at any time to revoke access to your Shopify store data.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your business data is used exclusively to provide the app's functionality. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
9. Cookies and Tracking
Our app operates within Shopify Admin and does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Session management is handled through Shopify's secure session token system.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
